Internships

Being an intern teacher allows you to experience your first year as a teacher with a ton of support!

Jordan School District appreciates the collaborative partnerships we share with all our local colleges and universities. We believe that by working together we can help to encourage and prepare quality teachers to inspire and educate the rising generations of learners. Internships are just one of the many options our future educators can choose to prepare them for their career.

Elementary Teaching Internships - If you are a student with one of our partnership schools and have met the university eligibility standards, you can apply to intern with Jordan School District. An interview process assists the selection committee for Elementary intern candidates. Interns will teach for an entire school year and will receive half salary and full benefits as they are an employee of Jordan School District. Supports to interns include a full time Intern Facilitator dedicated just to the interns. The interns success is their sole responsibility. Our Intern to Intern Facilitator ratio does not get any higher than 3:1.
