Teacher Salary Supplement Program (TSSP):
Teachers in qualifying positions may qualify for an additional $4,100 annual stipend from USBE. Visit their website for more information.
National Board Certification:
Jordan District Teachers with a current National Board Certification will receive an annual stipend of $2,400 based on their FTE percentage.
Signing Bonuses for Hard to Fill Positions:
Jordan School District offers a one-time signing bonus for certain Hard to Fill positions: Math Teachers, Special Education Teachers, SLP's, Psychologists, BYU/UVU Teacher Interns, select CTE Teachers, and select Science Teachers (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Systems, and Integrated Science). The bonus depends on the position and their FTE percentage and is paid out in one lump sum in the October paycheck.
Loan Forgiveness:
There are various loan forgiveness programs available to those who teach in low-income schools for at least five-years after graduation. Federal Student Aid The Student Loan Report
Title 1 Stipend:
All highly qualified licensed employees working full-time at a Title 1 school receive a $1,500 stipend (2 allocations of $750).
Additional Days for School Counselors, Psychologists, and CTE Coordinators:
- High School Counselors are compensated for additional days worked, up to 22 days (180 hours).
- Middle School Counselors are compensated for up to an additional 15 days (120 hours).
- School Psychologists are compensated for up to an additional 7 days.
- CTE Coordinators have a 207 day contract and are compensated for up to 15 additional days.
